"Serena! Looks at this shell!" Ben called. He was a very active 15 year old. "I think you'll like it!"
Serena, known to Jade, was only 7 at this time and she was playing in the water at a beach. It was a little before dark, so the sky was darkening as the sun was setting.
"Coming!" She called to her older brother, running past her sister reading against some rocks.
Sakura, her older sister, age 11, was a beautiful serene who loved to read and draw. Outside her family, Sakura usually was quite and didn't talk to many. She was, though, close to her younger sister and older brother.
Sakura peeked her head from her book, "What type of shell?"
"Come look for your self, sis. But that dang book down, you read enough to be my english teacher!" Ben joked.
Serena came to where her brother was, "Wow! It's so big!" It was. Very pretty and about the size of a fist. She carefully picked it up and looked at it. "Can I keep it?"
"Dont see why not," Ben commented.
"We should be going in," Sakura said, closing her book looking out over the ocean. "It's getting dark. Mom and Dad might get worried."
"We live a block away, what could happen?" Ben laughed and picked up Serena and put her on his shoulders. He was very athletic, and pretty smart.
"Are we really gonna have to move away from the beach?" Serena asked, looking down at her older brother.
He shrugged, "Guess. We'll probably just move to the meadow more in a village. It'll be fine. You'll make friends fast I bet."
Serena giggled, "Really?" She looked up at her sister, "Do you think so too?"
Sakura nodded, "Yes."
"And I'll force friends on Sakura," Ben laughed. "Right now she's into the fictional side of life."
Sakura sighed, "Common," She began to walk to the walk way out of the beach.
Ben sighed and looked up at Serena, "Lets go," He smiled and walked behind his sister.
